Honestly, I think over the last ~60 yrs has been an outlier in the history of music, especially in the US. In most other countries even today and before the '60s in the US, musicians needed to do live shows. $ from record sales was tiny. With AI, I think they'll be a return to touring musicians.

I have no problem with the AI version and don't consider it any kind of theft, but I automatically like the human version better.

When musicians sample from one another,by law, they have to credit and pay royalties. People upload any song to an AI app without consent & earn via clicks. The funk voice & all of the instruments were training data that was scraped illegally from real musicians. It's theft whether u like it or not.
