We're only seeing part of the story in this video. He reportedly left the march and hid behind a wall to get the rifle out of his backpack. This is a tricky situation because they were families there for the peaceful protest, so there is an air of being extra diligent.

I mean, to me it makes sense that he wouldn’t unpack the rifle in the middle of a crowded area. Even if he did leave the march to unpack the rifle, he still did nothing illegal based on the evidence we have.

It might not be illegal, but it's incredibly dumb to hide himself to put together his rifle. Lots of people there don't know him, and how does it look when a person comes walking back with rife he didn't have out before and there's threats to people marching. He was not being responsible.

Look, I’m not arguing that it was a good idea, but I am going to have to argue that nothing he did warrants a random bystander being killed and him being charged with their murder.

I also feel like the claim that he hid himself and assembled his rifle is dubious considering that there is direct video evidence disproving the initial account of the event peacekeeper who fired the shots. Time will tell what happened, but I don’t think blaming Gamboa is the right thing to do.

You don't need to be either/or with firearm law.
