I guess I shouldn't say "knockoff" because it's a replica, because a real one is exceedingly difficult to find, and commands premium prices from collectors.

Some leftover Vichy-era stocks found their way among the various Syrian rebel factions so I imagine there will be black market growth in the years to come.

I dunno if they were ever subjected to the Khyber Pass process, but I have a buddy who found one in a cache near Mazar-e-Sharif and he's still mad he couldn't smuggle it home to sell to some Texan with more money than brains. (It was in absolutely rotten shape, from the one picture I've seen)
