Somehow lost my sunglasses π© This will be at least the 10th pair either lost or broken since law school
Only do it by accident, b/c it roughly coincides with when the Mrs became an eye doctor and started asking why I kept getting ugly+cheap $5 suns I'm like "anything fancier will be a waste of money b/c I lose them" She tried to prove my wrong, got me nice ones She failed bsky.app/profile/hear...
The annoying part is I distinctly remember having my glasses when we left the bar. I had them dangling from my shirt collar, and moved them to my pocket b/c I didn't want to crush them giving my friend a hug goodbye Didn't notice they were MIA until this AM heading to airport @hearsay.bsky.social
The pair I just lost retails for $185 so that rationale did not help me as much as I wish it did π©π©π© bsky.app/profile/jaso...
Yeah, I've been there. What I try to do is buy REI shades with (what they used to call) dividend money. I get nice sunglasses and it lessens the sting a bit. A bit.
Arrrrgh! Iβm so sorry. Could fill a swimming pool with my lost ones :( (If it helps for future, as a full-time glasses wearer I do actually like Zenni for cheap ones.)
This is why I had to switch to transition lenses on my prescription glasses when I was living in Miami. Can't go without them there, but I'll be damned if I can successfully keep track of two pairs of expensive glasses everywhere I go.
Do you find that your transition lenses do not darken when you are in a car? Something about the windshield filtering out the triggering rays. I have a pair of prescription sunglasses for the car that never leave it. I wear my transitions everywhere else.
Haven't ever had a problem that I've noticed.
Thanks. I wonder if it is my lenses or my windshield. On sunny days, if I donβt put on the sunglasses immediately, after a few minutes I realize I am squinting, which reminds me to switch.
I feel seen on this one. I have a terrible history with losing sunglasses. However, I think having more expensive sunglasses brings two benefits: (1) they are more comfortable to wear, and (2) I pay more attention to them so I'm less likely to lose them. Maybe I'm just rationalizing.
It never occurred to me to segregate my lost sunglasses count into before and after law school totals.
