There can be multiple problems at once. Jeffries is a decent leader at keeping the caucus together, but he's not a wartime consigliere

You want to put troops in Louisiana and Alabama? Jeffries can't do that, and frankly, I don't want him to. I want a functioning FEMA, unlike Tommy Tuberville and Bill Cassidy.

This is not a policy that Democrats can implement unless voters get off their asses bsky.app/profile/sein...

In 2028? I'm more concerned about right now. Rs will let the power grab continue as long as they know current Dem leadership refuses to do anything. Look at Schumer during the recission fight. Him and Jeffries still act like we have bipartisanship while Trump sends the military into cities.

Schumer could force a government shutdown in September and he absolutely should, but he won't and he's already made clear that he won't. Because some vague notions of institutions that Rs clearly don't care about. So they'll continue to steamroll while Dem leadership does nothing

A government shutdown right before the 2026 election is exactly what Trump would love. I shudder to think of the 'Do Something' stupidity that your account is endorsing.

The more you talk the more I think this is just a burner account run by one of Schumer's aides.

You wanted to send the National Guard to Alabama. Your thoughts are .... strange

A government shutdown would not stop Trump from sending the National Guard into cities. You are badly misinformed.

Yes. I'm concerned about right now, that's why I'm tired of people pretending that Jeffries has magic powers and have zero idea who controls the House and Senate. Indivisible and Daily Kos have convinced people that they don't have to call or email Republicans or worry about House races.

If you are one of the people who thought shutting down the government for Trump was a good idea, I can just ignore your other ideas.

There are multiple problems, but the compliant non voters are not the ones with solutions, and they don't get to make decisions now. And if you did vote, call Republicans. This is on Jeffries. People need to take responsibility for putting Republicans in leadership roles.
