No one in Hollywood seems to want to pay anyone else, especially these days. The VFX guys make those salaries because their skills are rare, their hours are terrible, and work is sporadic. Cameron saying they make too much is even more egregious when you think about how much he makes.
I'm just incandescent with rage. And it's not like he's even doing the lion's share of what's up on the screen in his last couple films. Ughh.
Yeah, I'd like to see him make a movie—any movie—without those VFX workers. All of his movies have been VFX heavy. the recent ones may as well have been cartoons for all the practical things done in them.
