Man burns flag and gets detained/arrested. Rule of law in the U.S. seems to be slipping more and more every day. On what grounds could these police possibly be detaining this citizen? ... other than "vibepolicing"... which in practice seems to overall to some degree with "fascistpolicing"
I have been wondering whether you're allowed to just burn shit. Like, do you have to use the BBQ grates or something? (And yes, I realize this isn't the point.)
I was still a child when this was resolved. I'm 60 now. Flag burning is protected speech.
Maybe there's a law against violating national symbols?
