Not a dunk on Britain, it has a lot of good things despite the memes, but god the political situation is harrowing. Like what's even the path out? A coalition between the dregs of Left-Labour, the Lib Dems, the Greens, and some combo of SNP/Plaid/somehow convincing Sinn Féin to exit abstention? How?

There's so much disagreement between any three of them - basically the only thing they would have in common is defined political goals (that don't agree) and some level of grip on sanity and decency, and I don't think that's enough to maintain a stable coalition even if everyone tried their hardest.

Meanwhile Starmerist Labour is a total collapse of decency and morality in pursuit of... genuinely I don't know what, the Tories are a shambles without a future and also are still Tories, and Reform is a spectrum between "ghoulish and Nazi-curious" to "ghoulish Nazis". It's just appalling.

Labor and Tories are doing the same thing as Democrats and Republicans here in the states. The liberal party has been captured by conservative interests and the conservative party has been captured by fascists and lost their fucking minds. It’s Neoliberalism at its finest.
