Me too. I was 8. I saw it in a nearly empty theater w/my then-bestie, a kid named Robert Gruber. As we watched, I kept whispering to him what I thought would happen next. I was right every time, to the point he got angry, thinking I'd seen the movie already!😆 Even tho' it's predictable, I love it.

P.S. In an episode of Mork & Mindy, Robin Williams as Mork is riffing on this or that, and at one point comments on Popeye, "If you play the movie backwards, it has an ending." Yeah...they made a lot of mistakes. But I still dig it. Plus, Altman and his team captured Thimble Theater brilliantly.
