Beluga whale after sunset last night. There were at least 8 belugas in the pod I saw last evening and they were very active in the same location for over an hour, by far the most active I've ever seen. The location for those near Anchorage www.google.com/maps/@61.026...

The silhouette of a beluga whale's back extending out of the water in Turnagain Arm. In the background is the Alaska Range with an orange glowing sky as a backdrop.

I used to drive out to Hope so I could sit and watch the Belugas play in Turnagain Arm. Miss it

Saw several south of there too while driving the Seward. So great to see em again. A good silver season should mean a good beluga viewing season. :-)
