I like his work a lot. Am sort of ambivalent about his politics but he’s got the chops for both for sure! His book on the communist manifesto is quite engaging too.

I remember reading an interview he did for that book and it piqued my interest. I like his fiction quite a bit so I wasn't surprised to be this engaged with October. What's depressing/interesting is that there are a lot of lessons to be drawn from it for this current moment.

For sure - he’s been quite politically committed the whole tim: his dissertation is published, I’ve read some of it.
