Just read my first ever, random issue of that series. I loved it. I didn't understand all of it, coming in mid story but it was very, very clever and I want to read it from the start now. Excellent comicbook, excellent use of the medium.

My copy, one of the first times I bought comics, was passed around my 13th birthday party because of the page where Mary Jane takes off her top. A grabbing match ensued. It's damaged to the point of almost being worthless, yet it's one of my most valuable comics cause of that memory.

I found #1 in a bin years ago, never heard of it before and grabbed it immediately. Want more. I've read very little of the character since but what I have read, I liked a lot.

Discount haul reading continues Nightwing 111 I have Dixon's run, but only bits and pieces of Grayson's run as writer of this title. The draw here though was Hester's art. Which despite his name being listed in the cover, does not have his art in this issue.

#6 is the last issue I have, but really hope I can find the last few issues I don't have. Really enjoyed this series

Interesting. Whereas I've really enjoyed that writer, both his comics and his novels. His Green Arrow arc is one of my all time favorite comic stories. I clearly didn't feel what you felt with I.C., but now that you've said that, I can see why that would put you off him.

It's a solid tale, but the "multiverse" aspect of it isn't as fresh as it was when this was created. Not its fault though. This the Authority being the Authority. And its done well. I'll definitely be hunting down the issues I'm missing, but also, this is probably the last Authority I'll buy
Peter Kelly (@thepeterkelly.bsky.social)
Discount bin haul continues with issues 7,10,11&12 of The Authority The lost year When Grant Morrison's run lasted 2 issues, Keith Giffen was tapped to finish the story and I'll be honest, Giffen is a much more consistent writer to me. I now have the start and end of this run

Not gonna lie, the first issue I read from today's massive haul were underwhelming, so I've jumped over to All Star Western. Snagged a half dozen issues and I'm only part way through #2 (first I have) and it's fantastic. Palmiotti & Gray are a hell of a combo, doubly so when the genre is Western
