Gandalf reminds Frodo that Gollum had the ring and since he’s now living in the Undying Lands there is no going back… he’s stuck, listening to Elrond reading Elven poetry and talking about ‘men’ being weak (tho he couldn’t have thrown it into Mt Doom either), forever. He misses Sam, Pippin & Merry.
