The article raises one issue which leads to another. 1/ If the EU did have a defence pact like NATO, would not they be able to co-ordinate production in a more coherent way? This concentrates production in Europe; something France would love. But this is bullets & missiles, not tanks and AFVs.

This leads to this point: 2/ All of this does not help Ukraine in things like the Bradley (shown to be extremely effective against tanks) and tanks. Even M113s. Europe doesn't have enough of either. Making them would seem a priority unless they can buy them from South ruzzia (USA).
