You think these things are not already linked? You already have a NI number and an NHS number to identify you as an individual.

They aren't. Eg one database for NI and tax records another for Health Records another for driving offenses. A traffic officer can't see if you owe tax, a doctor doesn't know if you have been speeding.

And they won’t with Digital ID which has different layers and authorised persons only see what they need to see.
