My son got sucked into a megachurch where lots of the members open or concealed carry (talk about a frightening cult vibe). Thousands of armed adherents jumping up and down and excited for what they believe is coming: I.e. their "loving" God slaughtering and torturing all the people they hate.

Yep. My mother’s church did that nonsense. I told her if she wanted to see her grandkids they wouldn’t step foot in to that place. I’m not an asshole so I went and sat through a service first. To observe. It was unreal. They’d gone to a single CCW course of another chucklefuck I knew personally 🙄

And it was all airsoft cosplay. By wannabes. I knew some of the actual retired cops. I wasn’t necessarily ok with them carrying but they had a moral and ethical responsibility to shut that shit down! Nope. Formed a ‘Security Board’ tithers paid for them to go to cop conventions. Disgusting.

I would honestly be more ok with MAGA if they’d just admit they’re running a hustle. Local CCW courses shot through the roof. That MAGA made money. They all needed a church gun like church clothes. That MAGA made money. Cop conventions got rooms booked. That MAGA made money. It’s a hustle.

I drive through crime infested areas of Los Angeles & see grinding poverty, homelessness, liquor stores & churches. You know there are drugs & prostitution. It's a vicious cycle. I rate the churches at the bottom of the totem pole. They take what little their parishioners have left to offer.
