The expected 7-9 people who didn't get murdered in DC this month would probably think so. LE emphasis patrols work (flooding a high crime area for weeks/months). Most departments don't have the staff to do it anymore. Governor Hochul used 1000 National Guard for the NY subways. 🤷♂️
Don’t have the staff to do it anymore? Most municipal budgets are more than 50% police, we’re the most policed western nation. “Works,” is relative. You could also napalm the area, that drives down crime. How about something constitutional and cost effective, that sounds fun.
