Well that’s exactly why I say we need a reset on this. I think we need an entirely new constitution but at the very least some amendments to the old one. I firmly believe that we should be building a system that can evolve beyond the monetary system & allows society to live free from corruption.
As a citizen, my bond is to uphold the constitution and rule of law. Even the parts I have some disagreement with. No one goes into politics for the money. The pay sucks. They would be making more as a practicing lawyer or doctor. I don’t think they are all corrupt or bought and paid for. I never
used to support term limits but now I do. If you have only X number of years you’re more apt to vote your conscience than be a clone. I support term limits for SCOTUS. End Citizens United and the Super PACs and gerrymandering
There are aspects of human nature and ego that we will never conquer and one of the greatest is the feeling of self worth or that we are better than another. Cain killed Abel for starters. To know that you are better than another is a means of stoking our ego and our self worth. A talent or skill
