Absolutely agree 💯 with you. I’m sorry you have to go through all of that. It’s beyond rough. I’ve never been close to family before so I always had issues with prior relationships that were close to their families. My kids mom was extremely close with hers and she thought I was foreign.
She gets mad because our kid sort of adapted my personality & doesn’t share her closeness with family. I try to tell my kid that her family is good. I’m not close with mine because of abuse & trauma. I hope that you can find that peace again and reinvigorate that ⚡️.

It’s there, you just need to get through the rough times. If your love is as strong as you say it is, then it will survive it. That’s how strong family ties are born.
I failed passing modern Portuguese culture to them, they are indeeed also Portuguese from long time ago. I simply failed, because at the end I was a former undocumented that needed to have a family, and green card lies wins. Going to have my drink and lunch, I’m such an adult, I don’t break things ☺️
