I am well aware of Netanyahu’s genocidal hatred against all Palestinian people. He’s been that way his entire life. Also well aware of Hamas’ genocidal hatred against all Jewish people. Many Palestinian and Jewish people do not share that genocidal hatred.

Many Hutus protected Tutsis in the Rwandan genocide but not the Rwandan*government*. It's likely millions of Russians had no hatred towards Ukrainians in the Holodomor. Tom & other pro-Israeli folks want to carve out a special Israeli government exemptions for horrors they've committed.

I don’t believe Tom wants to carve out anything. He doesn’t tend to play those games. People been screaming genocide since day 2 of this war, and were wrong to do so then. Right now, with the starvation, I don’t think it’s morally defensible to say it’s not genocide.

After Oct 7th I absolutely wouldn't have said it was genocidal. It's when Israel began intentionally starving civilians, intending to destroy Palestinians in Gaza, and the deliberate nature of it.

Oh I understand the term genocide very well and personally know many of the experts that have documented Israeli government acts. These *experts* have studied it for decades.

Experts are one thing but you cannot look around in social media without many using the word cavalierly. I do think Netanyahu is now committing genocide for the starvation in Gaza. The word means something extremely serious and should be treated as such.

Couldn’t agree more. There is a reason so many of us said Hamas was responsible for the number of casualties early on, because THEY started this war. It is now Netanyahu and his genocidal pals who own the casualties, and the intention.

I agree in this situation however the word is being tossed around right now in a number of contexts where it’s not the case. The question becomes will anyone take action to remove Netanyahu.
