Are you under the impression that AI is not going to keep improving? What's the alternative?
Are you under the impression that AI is not going to keep improving? What's the alternative?
are you fucking serious?
Are you under the impression that every single aspect of human society is inevitably destined to improve, and that no alternative to this is conceivable? Because *just kind of gestures around at all of it*
When it comes to technology? Hell yeah.
Uhm? So far it's become more powerful and better at stealing and emulating styles etc, but that's not = improvement, is it? Or do you consider the avalanche of shite* it produces and the gross environmental hazard a step in the right direction? *= ugly, uninspired, sloppy copies, made up 'facts'...
The fact that you call it "stealing" proves you don't actually know how it works.
If you believe that AI doesn't steal, copy and emulate creative human beings' work then you and I cannot have a discussion, because that means we live in alternate realities.
We do, because it doesn't, no more than someone reading stories or looking at paintings and recognizing patterns to emulate for their own work steals.
You are stupendously naΓ―ve or disingenuous and you are obviously not a "creative" or in any way someone who cares about those who try to make a living from their artistic/creative work.
Yes, you're totally on the side of art, lol. Calling people who have written and published six books before they even touched AI as a tool as "not creative." The anti-AI movement is not on the side of artistry, but hate and malice. This Reddit post shows the results of your little crusade. Own it.
Maybe you ran out of ideas? Maybe you're not happy with your own work? Idk what made you embrace the automation that has scraped & copied every piece of digitally available art & text so it can spew out cheap mock ups & copies for corporations who refuse to pay for art and put creatives out of work.
Also, you completely ignored that Reddit post. Afraid to face the truth? That your movement hurts artists rather than helps them? Accuse a pro-AI artist of using AI and they'll shrug and move on. Accuse an artist not using AI? This happens. And that's not on the tech. That's on YOU.
That's on sources for information, not personal anecdotes like what I showed you. Then again, obviously you wouldn't get that. You have no intention of arguing in good faith.
I embraced it because it's an incredible tool that has allowed me to expand my creative output in ways I could never have before. If you have an issue with that, that's on you, not me, nor this technology you clearly don't understand.
it only keeps improving (this was last sunday, but at least, thankfully, this is "the worst it's ever going to be again")
Oh no, it made a mistake! That must mean it will always make mistakes and the technology behind it will never improve! Lol
