Attending my kid's marching band preview show. For the first time in my life, I wish I were back in school. I forgot how much I loved marching band. And band in general.

Hmm. I know that Philly has a couple more casual adult marching bands, but I'm not sure about Pittsburgh. But worth looking into if you really find yourself missing it!

I was told about this, and I haven't checked for Pittsburgh on it yet, but… honkfest.org Could be interesting. Not sure it's quite the same thing. There's also adult drum & bugle corp, but that's probably out of my ability at the moment.

Ok. Consider me impressed. Sure, they've had music & basic marching rehearsals all summer long, but for only 1.5 wks of "band camp", they sounded fantastic. I am sure the marching part was pretty good, but we were almost at field level. Gonna be fun to watch this improve over the year.
