Well the thing is, i'm not even trying to do nsfw merch. The stuff i have put out is pretty damn wholesome. This one with the girl lifting her skirt is probably the worst of it. finding jobs around here is a pain in the arse, so i'm trying to make money some freaking way...
merch in general is really tricky tbh, you kinda need to already have a big following b/c merch is way more expensive, and creates physical objects which not everyone likes Designing stuff for merch is also different than designing stuff for screen, eg how will the object will look in a living room
well thats kinda what i was afraid of. see i could make the stuff myself, but i need enough people to know me to buy it. Man i fucking hate this. I just want to function in a world that keeps rejecting me. I never wanted more than to be a part of society, but i cant make it work...

don't make stuff yourself, absolutely not worth it only ppl who make custom merch have insanely high followings of long term buyers, and even then only small fractions actually buy merch focus on ur art first, what you wanna make, what you'll make regardless. Monetising comes later, organically
Ive been focusing on it for a while, and it is getting better. I just wish it didnt feel like everyone in power was trying to make it harder out of spite...
we all wish that yeah it's hard and getting harder but you gotta find some art that you just love to do for it's own sake or the people in power will win their spite combined is bigger than yours can ever be so don't create with spite , create with what they don't have: passion
O I do, I just still feel compelled to try to earn money out of desperation. I wish I could create and make a living too. There’s a pride to it, as well as being able to feed myself without relying on my mother…
I get it it's a panic and constant fires to put out diversifying is important but you need to get one or two core and consistent things down first, get yourself locked in with a focus and a schedule, worry about things like merch once that's running smoothly don't chase two hares x
