Crime went down drastically in NYC in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, because everybody stayed inside to avoid the toxic fumes and the fear of more terrorist attacks. Therefor we need more 9/11s.

A forgotten moment in the height of COVID deaths in NYC in April 2020 was that as hospitals filled with COVID victims, the Navy sent a hospital ship to NYC to handle all of the non- COVID patients, except there weren't any because people put off non- essential surgery and nobody was injured at home.
