I think it's a bit better than a rough copy. It looks from here (you will be able to tell for sure) like a collage using used stamps!

I’ve had a look and indeed it does seem to be a collage of stamps! I haven’t really looked at the book properly yet but will let you know what I find. I think “Halifax” might be on the stamp. Many thx
