I think the point is, you're not actually aiming at an Oligarch, but a self-made rich guy (unlike Leon). There's a diff between using one's wealth for power (eg. Leon) & using one's wealth to fix society's ills & help others cross the chasm (Mark, Warren Buffett) Instead, you are making his point.

The simple act of accruing and hoarding as much wealth as they have in an era where most folks are struggling to make rent is an evil act, I don't care whether they have good politics. If you are going to hold water for the absurdly wealthy, I do not want to talk to you. So nah.
Here is a proposed remedy that doesn’t involve taxation! We call it The Billionaire Program - check it out at orans.org - Give the Billionaires a choice: give away excess wealth above a Wealth Cap to other people OR either 1) go to jail or 2) leave the U.S. forever with no right to ever re-enter.
Forcing them out of the country means you can't tax them...unless you nationalize their wealth, and that has serious Constitutional problems.
That’s not correct. They would retain citizenship and be taxed. If they give up citizenship then they can’t be taxed except on US earnings but they also become foreign nationals and can’t influence American politics. No need to nationalize wealth. US Taxation of foreign nationals is complex.
Citizens carry a right to return to their home country. I don't believe you can kick them out of the US without revoking citizenship; where would they go if no other country wanted them? I also don't know where that would fall under USC, so I'm not going to look it up
Thanks for your reply. Please read through the proposal at www.orans.org - Billionaires who choose to self exile would remain citizens and keep US passport. But if they try to re-enter the US they would be arrested. No violation of rights, just criminal consequences to wealth hoarding.

get* the wealth gap between the top 1% and the rest of the country is at its peak and every billionaire - without exception - is beyond out of touch with the reality working class people face. the majority of them support tax cuts for themselves because it gives them more money.
