Having an entire console sold on the premise of "trust me bro, games are coming" seems unnecessary and a little insulting. Consoles used to need a lineup of exclusives to justify their existence, whereas now consoles (not just Nintendo) seem content with launching with fewer and fewer titles
I mean, we know about more exclusives coming to switch 2 than ps5 or series x ever did in their first year. There is a potential for at least 7 exclusive games for the first year of switch 2. By todays standards. That’s really good, that’s excluding the cross gen exclusives too
Probably because of backwards compatibility, means the library available is larger. Anyone new to any Nintendo console gets the new exclusives as they come and access to the old games from the prior or more, with the NSO emulators. I think is how Xbox has been running their brand.
