Only way the house stops it is if it’s not evil enough.
The senate definitely leveled the evilness.
Yep
It barely passed the house the first time. And it's been changed. Start contacting your reps today.
The Dems could have stopped it if they’d stop electing old politicians or if politicians would be honest about their health. If the bill had come up in the House a 1-2 weeks earlier, it would not have passed. Connelly’s seat was open at the time of the vote. The bill passed by 1 vote.
When voters blame their parties for electing the wrong people, there is something wrong with our democracy.
Whiney voters complaining about the price of eggs did this.
Your point about health is valid, but a lot of times those bills pass by one vote because they’ll let a couple members look good depending on their constituents.
It passed by one vote because several Republicans in moderate districts in NY crossed over and three Democratic seats were open. None of those three seats will be filled until September at the earliest with the Texas remaining open until the general election.
Greg Abbott is purposely holding the seat open by not holding a special election or appointing someone.
Texas and Arizona are holding open the seats of two more deceased Democratic reps. Connelly died the day before the House vote on the bill.
AZ CD-7 is having a special election now
Oh, stop. The Republicans don't get a pass for woulda coulda shoulda 20/20 hindsight. Joe rescued Dems, and it's hard to let go. The dishonesty about health and electing old pols seems to work for Republicans.
What in the world are you talking about? I’m not giving the Republicans a pass. I’m also not going to not speak up about the fact that Dems have an age issue that cost them at a critical moments. The Dems have been too passive for years starting with Obama and the stolen Supreme Court seat.
Maybe we can get some of the Maoris from New Zealand to come coach us. I love what they did! Led by the youngest, too.
