that separates conservatism from liberalism. Both sides generate their extremist fringes, and it's a common responsibility to correct these abominations.

The majority of Trump voters are not fascists. It’s just not the case, we are not living with 45% of the country who are hard right, it just isn’t true. You misunderstand why Trump won, why people voted for him, and why people didn’t vote for Harris in November.
They were not fascists, like the majority of Germans who ultimately voted for Hitler. Eventually, they got comfortable with anything the regime did, and later they fully qualified as nazi. When you get permission from above to lose your moral restraints, and you are told that you are both superior
and somehow a victim, then your narcissistic tendencies get massaged and you just don't care if your neighbour gets sent to Uganda for no reason. Especially if inherently gullible (as christards are). Have you seen many R rebelling to the kidnapping of mothers on the street?
Making it a direct Nazi Germany comparison is not remotely appropriate and therefore the conclusions aren’t either. You can look at approval ratings of Trump from January to now, many of his voters do not approve of him. 1/2
Regardless this misses the whole point - life was bad under corporate democratic rule, and therefore the party needs a rebrand and to actually fight for people or else people won’t give a shit and will be apathetic regardless of how bad Trump is.
It's identical, not just appropriate. Germans were a decent people, the party turned them to monsters. The nazi party was a fascist party. You called the current regime fascist. What's the big difference, here? It may not devolve into a full genocidal regime, but the dynamics of autocracy are same.
There’s a big difference between what’s happening here and killing millions and millions of people and invading neighbors. Hard to reason with someone making these direct comparisons. Just not the reality of the world we live in.
The full arch took 12 years to pan out. You are 6 months into a regime which has already disbanded and destroyed democratic institutions, treated people extremely unfairly, imprisoned and deported others unlawfully, mobilised the army, etc. There was hardly any reaction from the Trumpist base.
I am old enough to remember principled conservatives being the majority of the American right. Now, Trump maintains high approval rates amongst R,in spite of all the abuses against immigrants, etc. He has already poisoned the nation. You should be able to see it.
Trump is horrible, and that's why we need to defeat him. The same old Democratic Party will not do it, they got us here. You fully misunderstand the Trump movement and why he got elected, thats why you don't understand what I am saying. Were you surprised in November? I would bet so.
