I don't care. I am fine with immigration and we need a functioning asylum procedure. The only way to stop the boats and "smash the gangs" as you put it is to make safe routes for asylum seekers and process the huge backlog of asylum claims.

You personally might be but the vast majority of the electorate are not There are safe routes for asylum seekers the UK public are happy to accept Do u think the electorate should be able to choose how far that goes? That's the bottom line I suppose By all means vote Greens if u want open borders

There are no safe routes. Currently you can only apply for asylum in this country once you make it here. That's why they come over in small boats. Make safe routes with a solid application procedure, remove the market for small boat gangs.

That's not true...Ukrainians and Hong Kong people were allowed in as you know As are many other nationalities Again I'll ask ...are UK citizens allowed to say no in your opinion or it's nothing to do with them whatsoever? They must always allow it

Sorry, you are wrong. This were special cases. It's right there on the gov website. I've included a handy screenshot...

So you agree I was right and they were allowed to come here for asylum purposes without first coming here and applying Now 3rd time I'm asking Steve ...do you think UK citizens should EVER be allowed to say no and that they are refusing entry? Just because that's what they want Yes or no?

Those are just two exceptional cases. It's there on the gov.uk website in black and white. So, no, you're wrong. In answer to your question, the UK public get a say when they vote. It's how our democracy works.

Then u should know they voted for immigration to be "fair and properly managed" which aims to reduce reliance on overseas migrants And to smash the gangs If we don't achieve both then we have failed on our promises which got us elected in 2024 That failure will lead to Reform if we don't sort it
