They designed and positioned them to limit the worst of the shading impacts on us (prev developer proposed MUCH worse), and the layout means only one window per unit looking in our direction.

And then it’s the little details…like yesterday they frosted the lower section of the windows on our side so the people inside can still get light and see out but gives us some privacy (it looks across into my bedroom).

Our suburb knows better than most about the tensions of rapid intensification in previously single-home-per-section suburbs, but kudos to this team for showing it can be done considerately. (They also fixed our wobbly fence for free!)

The construction is almost complete, and we look forward to getting some friendly new neighbours who don’t object to the frequent smells of bbq wafting over! 🤞
