The MLB season is just about over and the Nats are even further away from another World Series win. Thankfully the NHL season is right around the corner. I hope I get to go to another Caps game this coming season. Hockey games are the best. The NFL season is just getting started too. Go Sports!
How are the MLB and NFL feeds on BlueSky?
I haven't really checked to be honest. I try to keep my account as nerdy as possible, but I do love sports. I just don't wanna drive anyone away because I post too much about sports since I mostly post about wrestling and other "not cool" things. I'll have to get back to you on that, though.
I wouldnโt be bothered about what you post. I only ask because lately, I feel itโs hard to find a good crowd on BlueSky unless youโre into wrestling and politics. I may check out the NBA feeds here next season but yeah, itโs tough. The popularity of this app has tapered off.
Once NHL season starts, I'm checking out some feeds. I get enough NFL conversation from people in my life. I mainly come here for wrestling, but I have a lot of interests outside of wrestling.
Makes sense. Within my friend / family circle, I am the only one who still follows wrestling so I totally feel ya.
I watch Dynamite every week with my brother and a friend of ours, but they're the only people I know who still give a damn about wrestling, and I don't want to talk at them Bout wrestling until I'm blue in the face. They like it, but not like I do.
That said, if you ever wanna chat about anime, hit me. Recently finished the 2023 remake of Rurouni Kenshin and it exceeded expectations!
I loved the original Rurouni Kenshin anime back in the day. I don't watch that much anime these days unfortunately because everything is adapted from manga. Rarely do you get original anime. I do try to keep up with Gundam though.
This is true. Itโs like that with the movie industry as well. Everything is either a remake or adaptation from an existing IP.
I like a good franchise film, but I'm looking for new stories and ideas. You can only watch so many superhero movies before your brain starts to smooth out. Sinners this year was a breath of fresh air in the film department. A completely original story that actually made some money.
Same. Been experiencing superhero fatigue since 2020 and I have yet to really sink my teeth into the other cinematic universes out there (Godzilla franchise, for example). I mostly watch old flicks from the 90โs and 00โs these days. Sinners is the farthest Iโll go in terms of horror movies.
I'm a horror guy, first and foremost. That's my bread and butter. I like all sorts of movies though. I'm not beholden to one genre. I have a Blu ray/4K collection that's closing in on 600 films. Film is something I'm very passionate about. Sometimes more than wrestling.
Sweet. Got buddies who work in the film industry. You probably have more than enough people IRL to chat movies with. Wrestling is a truly niche genre that you gotta go online to talk about. That said, if youโre into horror, you must be eating good this year.
