Until this week, it's been impossible to play the games of the 1993 Pioneer LaserActive without one of the vanishingly rare, disintegrating consoles. Here's the story of the guy who's been trying to fix that for years -- and all the hardware and software he had to build to make it possible.
Part of me wants to replace my Blu ray set of the Nightmare on Elm Street films with the 4K set coming out soon, but do I really need to see Freddy's Dead in 4K?
A horror/wrestling podcast is a cool idea. I hate the sound of my own voice though. Plus, the last thing I wanna do is make an ass of myself on a live mic.
Sometimes schlock can be a good time, but it's not something I'd wanna watch all the time. I'd rather sit through a well thought out horror story that sticks with you after the movie is over.
I always rather judge a movie by seeing it. Horror is notorious for being looked down upon as a lesser form of entertainment, so I generally don't read reviews or look at aggregated scores.

Weapons is one I really want to see. Together looks so wild. I love a good occult movie, so Bring Her Back would probably be right up my alley. Truly exceptional horror is hard to come by these days. I'm a tad picky when it comes to horror though. Some would call me a horror snob 😆
Yeah, most of my friends are movie fans too. My best friend has the same passion for film as I do. So I have people to discuss that with. Online is the only place I get to talk wrestling. The horror offerings this year seem to be great. I rarely see movies in theaters. I usually wait for Blu ray.

I'm a horror guy, first and foremost. That's my bread and butter. I like all sorts of movies though. I'm not beholden to one genre. I have a Blu ray/4K collection that's closing in on 600 films. Film is something I'm very passionate about. Sometimes more than wrestling.
Punk HAD a good mind for the business, but the business has moved past CM Punk. It left him behind when he took his ball and went home. Long gone are the days of him being the "Best in the World". If he wants to help up and coming talent, cool. I just hope he doesn't pass on his hypocrisy.
That could very well be the case. He's kind of always been a "hands off" guy. Letting the talent do their thing without getting in the way too much. I think he trusts them to go out there and give everyone a good show. However, I think he needs to step up a little bit and take initiative himself.
The hoops some people jump through to "humanize" Vince is sickening. I don't care what he did for your career. He's a disgusting human being. Stop acting like he isn't being sued for committing crimes I won't even mention here. If he doesn't die in jail, let him die alone and broken.

As much as like Tony Khan, he doesn't seem to be available to a majority of his roster. I know he's a very busy guy, but when you're the boss, you need to make time for your employees. Even if it's just 5 minutes. Listen to their concerns and aspirations, then try to take that and help them.
I need to sit and watch Peacemaker season 2 once it's finished. Other than that, I've been slowly going through the Justice League animated show from 2001. I've also been watching select episodes of The Boondocks. I really wish they didn't take Looney Tunes off of HBO Max, though.

There are better ROH matches, but that one is my all time favorite. I love Joe's story about how Kobashi didn't think anyone would know who he was. Then his music hit and the crowd went wild.
I like a good franchise film, but I'm looking for new stories and ideas. You can only watch so many superhero movies before your brain starts to smooth out. Sinners this year was a breath of fresh air in the film department. A completely original story that actually made some money.
I watch Dynamite every week with my brother and a friend of ours, but they're the only people I know who still give a damn about wrestling, and I don't want to talk at them Bout wrestling until I'm blue in the face. They like it, but not like I do.
I loved the original Rurouni Kenshin anime back in the day. I don't watch that much anime these days unfortunately because everything is adapted from manga. Rarely do you get original anime. I do try to keep up with Gundam though.
Once NHL season starts, I'm checking out some feeds. I get enough NFL conversation from people in my life. I mainly come here for wrestling, but I have a lot of interests outside of wrestling.
There's a huge difference between an awkward laugh during a serious conversation and howling at the fact Vince victimized Ashley Massaro on a regular basis. These guys are fucking horrible.
I've been to 5 AEW Dynamites, 1 NJPW show, 2 Raws, and 2 indie shows. Even though the Raws were boring as all hell, it was kinda cool to be there. There's nothing in the world like live pro wrestling. No concert I've ever been to has topped any wrestling show I've attended. I hope to attend more.
People bitching about the venue need to jump up a rope. Yeah, it's small. We know. It doesn't even hold 1000 people. However, that place was electric last night and the crowd made it sound like there were twice as many people there. I like intimate venues for wrestling shows.
I totally understand not having the time. I'm disabled so I have a lot of time on my hands. I have a lot of hobbies, but wrestling is a top priority for me.
I have a NJPW World subscription and I occasionally sub to Wrestle Universe to watch NOAH. Other than that, there's so much wrestling to keep up with. I used to watch ROH right after TK bought it, but I decided on NJPW World because NJPW is what made me open my eyes to more wrestling than WWE.
I really wanna watch SuperCard of Honor, but you know, that costs money. Money I can't spare at the moment. Missing wrestling shows hurts me.
Max has been a lifesaver. I don't even use DirecTV anymore. The only reason I had a TV service was to watch AEW. Now I don't even need it.
I usually watch both Dynamite and Collision on Wednesday. Collision first, then I'll catch Dynamite live. I have a buddy who comes over every week to watch as well, so that's why I wait to watch Collision.
If anyone has any info on AEW coming to the DMV area again, let me know. I missed the last show in Fairfax, VA and I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not going. The usual arena they use when they come to DC is okay, but I really hate going all the way into DC. Fairfax is right outside DC.
I started watching NJPW in 2017, but if it weren't for AEW, I'd probably be a lapsed fan wishing for something better in the US. Watching AEW every week for 6 years is the most consistent thing I've ever done. It gives me something to look forward to every week.
I was buying it anyway, but this makes the decision way easier. I haven't missed an AEW PPV yet and I don't plan on starting now. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞
Kevin Kelly was the English NJPW commentator for so long he made me believe he was good. Walker Stewart is much better. Ian is 10 times the commentator Kelly ever was. I hope his schedule allows him to be at more shows because his love of wrestling shines through in his commentary. A class act.

Barton Fink is my favorite Coen Brothers film. It takes a special kind of movie to make me feel a certain way. Barton Fink provided great acting and storytelling which complimented the setting so well. I haven't seen it in years. I should rewatch it.
If Brock was people's breaking point, those people need to get their priorities straight. There was plenty of reasons to stop watching well before that.

High spots weren't as common back in the day in American wrestling, but when they were done, the person falling probably wasn't gonna be caught by the other wrestler(s). One too many bumps on concrete will mess you up. Now, these spots are usually done with care and preparation.
I hope Darby's body isn't as broken as Foley's is when he gets to be his age. Darby might be feeling okay now, but he'll be feeling it in 10 years. I love his "throw caution to the wind" style, but it could very well kill him. I hope he stays smart about what he does in the ring and stays healthy.

Growing up in the 90s, you couldn't escape Pokemon. It was literally everywhere. I'm glad CMLL got the deal because Pokemon is still incredibly popular and it'll possibly get eyes on CMLL.
I'm a huge Gundam fan. I bought every Blu ray they released up to Gundam Seed, then the buy out happened. I haven't used Crunchyroll for anything since. Right Stuf was the best place to buy anime and manga. I got so many manga deals through Right Stuf. A part of me died when they were bought out.

I understand the sentiment, but that's not the answer. Stronger gun control laws and proper training for people who have access to firearms would be a start. I'm not a fan of guns myself, but an outright ban wouldn't change much. The black market would be flooded with guns ripe for the taking.

When I saw pictures of the setup before they started letting people in, I was worried. Once it filled up, it didn't look too bad. The crowd's energy helped too. Made it seem like there were more people there then there actually was.
With the toll wrestling takes on their bodies, more promotions need to take note. They can't wrestle forever. Might as well learn some behind the scenes stuff, or take some college courses and live life outside of the business completely.

It's usually the joshi wrestlers that I have to check out since I don't watch Stardom or TJPW. WWE fans mostly live in a bubble. If something comes into the bubble, then they're for it. Once they have to venture outside the bubble to look at someone's previous work, they won't do it.

I just don't understand why there can't be a strong number 2. Is AEW really that much of a threat to WWE's bottom line? They're the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. AEW and WWE are two different animals doing two different things. I guess its whether you prefer promos and ads over matches.
AEW PPVs > WWE PLEs Everytime, without fail. I'd rather watch a show with a stacked card than a show with a handful of matches, then a bunch of backstage/promo segments. That's for weekly TV, not a PPV or PLE. AEW PPVs are nothing but matches back to back for the whole show. That's what I want.

ONS 2005 is probably the best PPV WWE put on in the 2000s. I loved watching it. It really opened my eyes to what wrestling could be. Unfortunately, I only watched WWE from 2002-2017 until I discovered NJPW. I dabbled with TNA, but that was during Aces & Eights and that was dog shit.
This counterprogramming shit has to stop. It's not working and it's painfully obvious to everyone that WWE is desperate. They'll most likely always be number 1, but God forbid there's a solid number 2 promotion. Kenny v. Hangman would blow whatever WWE is planning right out of the water.
