Weapons is one I really want to see. Together looks so wild. I love a good occult movie, so Bring Her Back would probably be right up my alley. Truly exceptional horror is hard to come by these days. I'm a tad picky when it comes to horror though. Some would call me a horror snob πŸ˜†

Those are the only ones I can recommend for ya based off my weekly perusal of Rotten Tomatoes. If you really want to sink your teeth into horror discussion though, I’d say follow @mollymollz.bsky.social.

Pffts. I've never looked at what critics say about horror (especially). The only way to really recommend is to be down in the bloody trench using your peepers to judge. Like I do when I'm hiding under all your beds waiting for you to sleep...

I always rather judge a movie by seeing it. Horror is notorious for being looked down upon as a lesser form of entertainment, so I generally don't read reviews or look at aggregated scores.

Well you can trust me to never recommend something I don't personally like, and rarely real schlocky terrible stuff.

Sometimes schlock can be a good time, but it's not something I'd wanna watch all the time. I'd rather sit through a well thought out horror story that sticks with you after the movie is over.

If you guys end up communicating a lot and start your own podcast covering wrestling and horror films, I’d be down. Here is my title suggestion: β€œTwo wrestling fans discussing scary movies for one hour every Sunday night.” 😎

A horror/wrestling podcast is a cool idea. I hate the sound of my own voice though. Plus, the last thing I wanna do is make an ass of myself on a live mic.

If you’re good with editing, you can cut around any awkward portions of the broadcast in post. Can’t help you out with the voice part though. We will have to wait until AI software advances to the point where it can change your voice to sound like Benedict Cumberbatch on demand.

I’m squeamish so I look up πŸ… scores when recommending horror films to people. I also commit the deadly sin of reading the entire plot on MovieSpoilers dot com. πŸ₯Ά

It sure was fun reading about Hereditary, Midsommar and all those other A24 classics that have come out the past five years. 🀭
