Do you understand what a counterfactual is? Because it doesn’t sound like you do. Before this bill, 100% rent increase was legal. We’re in a better world now. That doesn’t mean that we can’t further improve the world.

Rent control will not solve our affordability issues. It’s one tool (that we should use) of many in the tool chest, not a panacea.
