i think a lot about this guy who got bitten by a rabid bat, refused the rabies vaccine (in 2021, so imagine what he was hearing about vaccines) and died a horrible, painful death because rabies is literally 100 percent fatal

that he told his mother that medical had put the dog down and tested its brain and it was negative, and so he wasn’t going to get the IG protocol — and he wouldn’t have known that’s how they test because why the fuck would he know that *unless he was telling the truth*

I got bit by a dog when I was in grad school, and the school doctor was like, yeah it’s unlikely that dog had rabies, but if they did, you will 100% die. Got that rabies titer 5 minutes later (incredibly painful since I was bit on the hand)
