Not surprising. The companies I worked for sold those patterns at cost. We did not inventory them. They were automatic reorders. When patterns were discontinued, they were thrown away, not returned. They only sold when on sale for $1.99 or less, never at full price.

Especially now that JOANN is gone. We used to get 3 to 4 cases (25 - 75 patterns per box) per week.

Yeah. I added a "How to Make Patterns" book onto my wishlist. Because apparently I'm gonna need to learn from scratch instead of buying a pattern that is close and adjusting it.

There's a book by Donald H. McCunn called HOW TO MAKE SEWING PATTERNS from 1977. 🙂
