Not surprising. The companies I worked for sold those patterns at cost. We did not inventory them. They were automatic reorders. When patterns were discontinued, they were thrown away, not returned. They only sold when on sale for $1.99 or less, never at full price.

It was one of the restaurants my grandparents took me to when I was old enough to behave back in the early 70s. They had stuff on the walls that granddad had in the house. It was a treat, a special place to go. They'd be in their 100s now. I miss them. Eating there brings them back for a little bit.
