It's Social Security's 90th birthday today. This is your reminder that if billionaires paid their fair share into the program, we could afford to expand benefits for everyone. Instead, they're cutting Social Security to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. Make it make sense.
And tax the first million dollars or earnings.
Remove the cap on Social security withholding from W2. AND make ALL INCOME subject to it. U.S could drop the rate 50% giving 95% of workers a tax break, and still raise way more than we currently do. Millionaires should pay 6.45% on their total wages just like everybody else!
