We just mean the bad people. I get tired of the ‘just leave.’ It’s not that simple. People own houses or are in leases, have jobs…you can’t just pick up and move to a different state. It’s incredibly tone deaf.

I don't wish harm on anyone.....but, I am okay with consequences of their poor choices. Even as a child if you were told over and over not to touch the stove because it was hot....once you touched it you never forgot the lesson that came with your choice.

I agree. AZ is a reddish state. However, it is heavily gerrymandered to keep it that way. I believe we would easily be a blue state.

I actually have empathy for Dems and sane minded people that live in Red states. It must be so frustrating to have governments that are actually working against proper representation for all of their citizens.

As tempting as it is, wishing harm on others or pointing the finger is not the way forward to a better America. I most definitely understand the anger, but I'm hopeful that the blue dots can help build the bridge between us and them.

Yep. And just telling us to move to blue states is not helpful (nor realistic or affordable for many). I would say even blue states aren't safe from the GOP cruelty, either. Are we all supposed to flee to other countries?

One of the things I personally consciously choose to battle every single day is to hold tight to my humanity. Some days are better than others. I put those “people in red states” comments in that category & fervently hope folks are just having a bad day rather than losing their humanity 😢

More Californians have moved to Idaho in the last 10 years. Things may start to change.

Lord, we are trying. It doesn't help that white supremacists keep moving here for the politics and beauty. We beat them back once, but it might not happen again in my lifetime.

Primary residence is Alaska, have been working in South Dakota and Wyoming for the past 8 years. There are good people everywhere. It helps if we listen when interacting because they will not wear a shirt that says, “I am liberal”.

I don’t mind being called a boomer or criticized . We ( as a group) did fuck things up for the 40 & above set, REPEATEDLY. But there are many of us with the same morals, mindset and determination that ended the Vietnam War, passed civil rights legislation and elected the nation’s first Black POTUS
