So many incidents seem to be a case of having no rage control. They have someone subdued on the ground but continue punching him in the kidneys or tase him, or after a long car chase for speeding five officers pump bullets into the guy when he finally stops and exits the vehicle.

Thank you. From my experience leading the Sagebrush Program at ISCC, SBWCC and SRCI, I have to say that Oregon has a MUCH better system for trying to rehabilitate and reduce recidivism with their residents. No doubt has a lot of room for improvement, but the differences were staggering to me.
IdahoLark (@idaholark.bsky.social) reply parent
So, sending inmates out of state no doubt costs a lot of money. Besides decreasing how many people we incarcerate (and/or releasing some sooner) or building more prisons, do you have any ideas how to address that?
IdahoLark (@idaholark.bsky.social) reply parent
I love that second one! Also, no special sessions to deal with issues they fail to handle during the regular session. No more passing of obviously unconstitutional laws that leads to costly, losing lawsuits (or, make the politician that submits each bad law pay the legal fees when they lose).
IdahoLark (@idaholark.bsky.social) reply parent
Oops, see my suggestion in response to another email. Also, quit sending our National Guard to the Texas border and instead work with Congress to pass a guest worker program--before they kill off the dairy and some farm industries. Claw back the tax cuts for the rich and big corporations.
