I drove local, but 20-30k lbs of hand delivering beer starting in my mid 30’s in a young mans game was never going to last.

I did beer for awhile, from a DC in Elkton VA to distributors in the North East.

No kidding? I worked for a distributor in Pittsburgh, both Coors and InBev/AB Teamsters, paid well, maxed out my clock for almost half the time I was there, much less driving than pushing the beer into stores though.

I ran between Virginia up into DE MD PA NJ NY CT MA RI. I would run beer outta Elkton VA, when empty reload new can stock, empty kegs or ingredients or dunnage back to Elkton.
