I just read through the second amendment but I don’t see anything about short barreled automatic rifles. If it did mention a specific weapon, which it doesn’t, it would have been muskets. A lot of musket talk.

It also mentions a “well regulated militia”, which is essentially forgotten. The founders wanted to control the arms in a militia they controlled. Not give them to the rabble to rise up against them.
