I picked up a 12TB Western Digital My Cloud Home two years ago for under $400 and that's what I use. They are discontinued however, but there are other more affordable options. I have 70 TV shows and 798 movies on it. Drive is currently 63% full.

I use WD external drives for my CDs once I rip them into iTunes. You should buy a couple more of those drives and backup what you have. Memory is cheap for a reason and I've been finding they fail after a few years. You don't want to lose what you have or redo everything on there now.
Oh, trust me, I have a backup already! I run a Jellyfin server on an old computer and have a WD external drive connected to that. When I add content to the NAS, I go on that computer and transfer what I added to the NAS to the external drive. I have way too much time invested to lose that data!
Good work! 👏👏
