Growing up in the 80's, when computers had different ports for printers, keyboards, mice, etc, you would have to use these to extend cables or make things work for your situation. Even back then, we knew things weren't so cut and dry.

Oh, trust me, I have a backup already! I run a Jellyfin server on an old computer and have a WD external drive connected to that. When I add content to the NAS, I go on that computer and transfer what I added to the NAS to the external drive. I have way too much time invested to lose that data!

I picked up a 12TB Western Digital My Cloud Home two years ago for under $400 and that's what I use. They are discontinued however, but there are other more affordable options. I have 70 TV shows and 798 movies on it. Drive is currently 63% full.
I also take the good and okay DVDs, rip them to an MP4, and put that up on my NAS, that I can access anywhere. So if we are on vacation, and have some downtime, I can download the movie off my NAS and watch it. In the end, I keep the really good DVDs and resell the rest back on eBay dirt cheap.
You can pick up 100 DVDs off eBay for $30. I've done this over the past year to build up my movie collection and I love it. Really depends on who you get them from, but I average about 30 good titles per 100 DVDs. About 10 are throwaways, 20 are okay movies, and the rest are junk.

Speed cameras for the purpose of speed control are ridiculous. They only get the locals to slow down, and just at the camera location. For someone not from the area, a speed camera violation is simply a money grab. It's not going to encourage them to slow down because they won't be back there.
