Some hypotheses Jack: - they have more than one team and deploy on several storms. We don’t see the “misses”. They could also deploy multiple sensors on each storm. Some drones (w/permission) can operate out of LOS - drones these days are stronger and thus not merely passive tracers 1/2

they have a lot of experience as storm chasers so they know where to go, they use pretty well-hardened drones, and they have definitely lost a few. they are a very worthy follow.
