Stupid is thinking Trump would be different, which was my only point. Now we get murdered kids and journalists, as well as a starving populace, PLUS the transition from a Democracy to an autocracy where the atrocities will be greenlit and become commonplace globally because Trump is a soulless cunt.

No one thought trump would be better, but running a campaign on "we're not the other guy but also we dont really care about Gaza anyway" isn't going to ingratiate the people most affected by it.

Fuck the campaign. Predictable end result was that nothing changed in Gaza but everything else is now being dismantled to such a degree that the next president (if there is one) will be dealing with an America in ashes so the last thing on their minds will be anyone else or their problems.

But if we all knew he’d be worse and the thing we’re all upset about wouldn’t change, what did not voting or voting third party achieve?!?!

Some people have morality and cannot vote in favor of a genocide. You spent more time scolding voters than even daring to pressure Harris to change course. This is 100% on you, not us.

Idk man but I think being mad at people who didnt vote because both parties were ok with genocide makes you a mark and a moron. You've successfully let people who want an entire group of people dead make you mad that others didnt vote for them. Weak spirit and mind, ergo, no art.

I give up. People like you are so black and white that you might as well be a brick wall. Nuance is everything and you consistently, perhaps willfully, choosing to miss/ignore the larger point is exhausting. Bye.

yes, people are so frustratingly black and white about not being able to support the murder of children

You are a coward who has convinced himself hes principled by virtue of getting mad at the disenfranchised. You have no ability for introspection and the country will continue to falter as long as the empire has people like you willing to be an impotent attack dog for the dems.

Its not about nuance. Nuance is understanding that sending Bill Clinton to a rally to tell you that maybe its all your fault because your relatives are terrorists has negative effects. Nuance is having empathy beyond your front door. Everyone except you is wrong and you think youre the nuanced one.

The great tragedy of the US electoral system, and its HUGE financial requirements is that only the two parties are real candidates. There WERE others in the race but nobody knew about them. Voluntary voting also ensures that people who see no choice, end up just not coming out.

Trump's success WAS the result of no other choice. People just did not vote. Here in Australia compulsory voting means that people must at least attend and return a ballot-paper (marked correctly, blank or graffiti'd).

We do have major parties dominating, but the Senate is often held by a minor-party cross-bench, and often even the House of Reps (and as a result the government) must submit to minor party verdicts.
