yeah, that's completely accurate i gave up on it as a proper game after i couldn't show the evidence of a vampire to people actively looking for a vampire in their midst, because I hadn't started & progressed far enough in the right quest

U also can’t join the existing vampire hunter faction (which is cool and has an awesome fortress in the mountains) but you can join a new faction that when they spawn in, the existing vampire hunter faction gets fucking squad wiped in their mountain fortress. by vampires. during the day.

from day one, the main complaint i've seen about Skyrim's writing is Parthunax and it's like... that's the whole game, not just the ending! you can't actually do anything impactful or save anyone important, because they were so proud of their writing that they didn't want you to mess it up!
