Piece in the Times today about the how Freeman of the Land types have taken over the IRB, and it's full of delicious nuggets like them operating under their own timezone: Irish Rising Time

The new IRB: a band of conspiracy theorists who have set up a parallel Irish ‘government’ This fringe group, drawn from the ranks of anti-lockdown protesters and business people laid low by the crash, have a cabinet, local co-ops and even a network of ‘courts’ This version of the IRB is now in the process of establishing a shadow government to run in parallel with what it calls the “corporate government” in Leinster House. It has a cabinet of ministers (which it calls secretaries), a nascent court system and a network of local government bodies. It has also adopted a new time zone, called Irish Rising Time, which is 25 minutes slower and based on the time zone used in Dublin until the 1916 rising.

it's wild isn't it? I recall they started appearing at the height of the crash and were v focused on house repossessions and claiming courts had no jurisdiction etc. I get the distinct feeling they've now moved into the anti-immigrant space but this article is v thin on what they actually DO.
