I can say as a person who is not a cis man and mostly writes about music by cis men playing guitars (sometimes they’re queer but often not), there isn’t much of a place for me either unless I make it myself.

They only want “new voices” on new music. And they want peopl reviewing artists that are their own demographics. And if I do place something they want me to make it into a “personal essay” about how xyz helped me come out or something. So disrespectful.
